As day by day goes by, and with another nationwide lockdown maybe just around the corner, it’s always best to carry on with daily life (with the proper PPE pre-cautions), I have been able to arrange meetings with 2 organisations to do with my “Behind the Scenes” documentary project.
The first is my local church, St Mary’s RC, in whifflet (Coatbridge), where I will be discussing my project plan with the parish priest and to determine how far I can go and what I am not allowed to photograph as somethings might be considered as a sensitive nature as people who attend the church, don’t want to have a camera in their face while sitting quietly and praying.
My second is to go to a hairdressers/barbershop, and photograph a place in Glasgow called Rebel Rebel. They have got 2 official shops, which they have trained professionals, cutting and styling a large part of the people hair, and men’s beards to make them more stylish. This is idea came to me when I, myself during the long nationwide lockdown from March till July, wasn’t able to get a haircut and it didn’t help me with my self confidence, and especially with the pandemic that is around us, it sometimes fealt that “the end of times” were upon us. So it’s more about the self esteem, confidence and overall happiness getting ones hair cut.
When I have an update on how they meetings went, and what I can/cannot do, I will take shape of the items in my head to see what I make a story into.
Stay tuned ;D
