And several weeks later…

Time flies by when you’re working your butt off with all these college projects and classes, and then the October break and more restrictions & lockdowns due to Covid-19 hit, it’s been a rollercoaster of juggling things. During my time of doing Photojournalism, I’ve been able to combine the efforts to both projects, which has helped a lot!

As my planning and research has been complete already, I have already taken some images that I need, and hoping to get a few different that have not been planned, to make the journey of my documentary project better.

Stay tuned for more details and hopefully I will be able to post up some media to share.

The final project idea has come

The final project idea has come

All hands on deck… as the project has a final purpose and focus, there have been some positives and some negative within the planning stages that has been involved.

After researching several “Behind the Scenes” ideas of Animal rescue, World of Wings, hairdressers/barbers, and churches, I had come to the realisation that it wasn’t going to be easy and not to go with my first choice but to go in another direction.

As the restrictions of Covid continue, this has limited my access to lots of places, and people occupations, so… the focus should be smaller and more simpler. After lots of thinking and working my around the restrictions, I found a topic of focusing on people’s hands and what their profession/hobbies are. I found 2 photographers to get inspiration from, as their work is truly amazing in the fine arts.

My 1st photographer is Tim Booth, his hands project called “Show of Hands”.

My 2nd photographer is Antonio Arcos , who has great working with people and the fine arts of arms/legs displays in shapes.

Hopefully my photography skills will be up for the challenge to produce a “coffee table book” at the end and something to be proud of when other people look at it, so that they can be inspired with their own idea. I have made several strides for occupations and hobbies from people, as my next post will be discussing the different ideas of “hands on” photos.

Stay tuned for more details…
