In The Hands Of…
(a photographic documentary)
What is this project about?
My documentary project will give the viewer an insight as to what is really happening in society by photographing their hands . By creating a series of interpreted stories about people, visually told with both photographs and words .
The final format will be a printed coffee book when complete , that will cover a range of subjects from NHS Homecare, workers of the disabled, to pyrotechnics, musicians, and to the blind (braille).
This will be an insightful and emotional book of striking photographs with an insight of a different range of people’s background and their history .
That is just a taste of what I have planned to document into their lives and the dedication to their skills, craft or labour, and is often be seen etched into their hands by their experience in life .
